One would hope kitten pictures would all turn out something like this.   After all, one strives for an angelic look that will tug at heart strings.  

But instead - these are what one usually gets when trying to show off their cats:

Then there are always the issues of cleaning the room so it looks nice for photos - but by the time the phone rings, you do laundry, etc., it looks something like this:
